Why Product

Technical depth meets
product thinking

Every PM skill I've developed came from real work — not coursework. Here's how my background maps directly to the craft of product management.

01
Data-Driven Decisions
Led 888-datapoint statistical analysis across 24 UK universities using ANOVA, PCA, and K-means. Built Power BI dashboards adopted by clinical doctors for real-time KPI tracking. I let data guide — not decorate — decisions.
Analytics & Research
02
Cross-Functional Communication
Bridged engineering and clinical teams at Healync, translating technical outputs into actionable clinical insights. At ITSec, sat in client intake meetings and turned business requirements into technical specifications independently.
Stakeholder Management
03
End-to-End Ownership
Shipped a production CRM, a cross-platform mobile app, a rebuilt company website, and multiple ML pipelines — each from requirements through deployment without supervision. I own outcomes, not just tasks.

IT Analyst

Jan – Apr 2026 · Doha, Qatar · Full-time
  • Installed the company's first physical firewall device and produced the full network diagram; deployed endpoint security across all office devices for the company's first client.
  • Developed an ISMS using the ISMS Online platform, aligned to Qatar government cybersecurity standards — packaged as a client-facing service offering.
  • Continued to maintain and expand the CRM system while managing business development contacts and supporting ongoing client relationship management.
PM Takeaway
"Taking a compliance framework and packaging it as a sellable service required thinking like a product manager — understanding client needs, defining scope, and owning delivery."

Cybersecurity Intern

Aug – Dec 2025 · Doha, Qatar
  • Built a production CRM system from scratch in TypeScript, Node.js, and Prisma ORM; sat in client intake meetings and translated business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Automated internal workflows by writing Python scripts invoking the OpenAI Whisper API — significantly reducing manual transcription overhead.
  • Completed Sophos Certified Firewall Engineer certification; managed day-to-day company communications throughout the internship.
PM Takeaway
"Going from client meeting → requirements doc → shipped CRM with no hand-holding is as close as you can get to product ownership as an intern."
Synergy Gulf Trading WLL

Freelance Web Developer

Mar – Aug 2025 · Doha, Qatar
  • Rebuilt the company website from scratch using JavaScript — responsive design, UX optimisation, and performance improvements across all device sizes.
  • Managed full client engagement independently: requirements gathering, iterative design feedback, and final delivery against agreed specifications.
  • Improved site usability and visual consistency, directly aligning the platform with the client's brand identity and business goals.
PM Takeaway
"Running a full client engagement solo — from discovery to delivery — is exactly the kind of ownership and iteration loop that product managers live in."
Healync Technologies

Data Science Intern

May – Aug 2022 · Kolkata, India
  • Built interactive Power BI dashboards visualising patient health metrics for clinical end users — adopted by client doctors to track KPIs in real time.
  • Extracted and analysed 500+ records from MongoDB; identified data quality issues and automated reporting workflows, reducing project delivery time by 2 weeks.
  • Facilitated cross-functional communication between engineering and clinical teams, translating technical outputs into actionable clinical insights.
PM Takeaway
"Being the bridge between engineers and doctors taught me that the best product decisions live in the gap between what's technically possible and what's clinically meaningful."

Research

Novel findings,
published-quality rigour

Academic research experience rare among PM candidates — working alongside PhD researchers, producing empirical findings that filled documented gaps in literature.

Post-Covid UK Mathematics Assessment Study

Co-authored empirical study replicating Iannone & Simpson's longitudinal research. Led all data collection and analysis across 888 modules at 24 UK universities. Applied 8 statistical methods — ANOVA, Mann-Whitney U, PCA, K-means — and confirmed a significant post-pandemic shift in assessment practice. Grade: 84%.

OpenDBML — In-Database Machine Learning

Extended open-source Python framework to unify LibFM, LMFAO, and Morpheus — three state-of-the-art in-database ML systems — into a single accessible API. Delivered full Morpheus data transformation support; fixed LMFAO compatibility across 3 previously failing datasets; benchmarked all systems across 8 real-world datasets. Supervised by Dr Amir Shaikhha, School of Informatics, UoE.

About Me

The full picture

I'm a CS & Mathematics graduate from the University of Edinburgh with a 2:1 Honours, currently based in Delhi NCR and open to remote & hybrid roles globally.

My path has been deliberately broad: data science at a health-tech startup, full-stack development for a cybersecurity consultancy, empirical research with PhD supervisors, and a cross-platform mobile app for an NGO — each project sharpening a different edge.

I'm drawn to product management because it sits at the intersection of everything I love: analytical rigour, user empathy, cross-functional influence, and building things that actually ship.

Outside work, I'm a classical Odissi dancer of 7 years — an unusual background for a PM candidate, but one that's trained me in discipline, pattern recognition, and performing under pressure.
